Artifact : The Dota Card Game
The Dota2 Fans around the world are now attending The International 7, the biggest eSports tournament of the year. After the group stage has announced the results, at 4AM last night, a big surprise came up !! What is it? It’s a little video clip played on the big screens at Seattle’s massive KeyArena, WA.
The videos is about Valve who has announced The Dota Card Game called Artifact. It’s a collectible card game set in Dota 2 and will release in 2018. Announced during The International 7 , Artifact is similar with Heartstone (Warcraft) , Gwent : The Witcher Card Game, Fable Fortune (Fable) or The Elder Scrolls. Artifact will feature all sorts of new gameplay options based on Dota.
Artifact is being developed by Brad Muir, programmer and designer whose work in Outrage Entertainment, Raven Software, and now Valve. He also had worked on X-Men Legends, Psychonauts, Brutal Legend, Iron Brigade, and Massive Chalice. This Dota Card Game was announced by event host Sean “Day9” Plott, who gave a description of the game that indicate to involve barracks, creeps, and lanes. There will also be lane pushing, champions, and items to bought.
Unfortunately, Valve didn’t share many details on the game but the early description sounds a little bit complicated. There is no announced release date for Artifact too, as they said in The Official Twitter Account.
